Brand New Research

We conducted in-depth interviews with over 3,000 women, surveyed over 15,000 women and conducted the first-ever nationally representative studies about the specifics of women’s pleasure and touch with over 4,000 more women, ages 18-95 - in partnership with researchers at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indiana University School of Public Health and The Kinsey Institute. Our research has been peer-reviewed and published.

To make the findings practical and personal, we film interviews with women whose experiences and techniques are emblematic of the biggest insights from the research studies.

Yes. OMGyes is for anybody who cares about women’s sexual pleasure and wants to explore it even more. Both women and partners use the site. Some use it alone, some use it together with their partners.

Lots of people mistake the physical techniques on OMGyes to be either just about masturbation or just about ways partners can touch. The truth is the techniques are about both. The ingredients of pleasurable touch from the research are universal, no matter who’s doing the touching. For example, a technique described using a fingertip could also be done by using the tip of the tongue, toy, or penis.

The women on OMGyes are regular people, not actors, who thought this information was important and courageously put themselves out there to benefit others. Their professions include literature professor, farmer, librarian, nurse, musician, biologist, student, teacher, surgeon, and more. They range in age from 20’s to 70’s and are from countries around the world.

When we put out a call for participants to appear on the site (like here for Season 3), we get thousands of applicants. Our production team chooses diverse, fun, relatable people who have personally had the breakthrough insights revealed by our research.

More research! And more people benefiting from it! Governments and corporations don’t think pleasure is important so they won’t fund research about it. But when all of us pool together, we can. With your contribution, we’re researching and building a 100% free-to-access site about ways people re-find pleasure in lives with sexual trauma / abuse. Another 100% free-to-access site revealing new insights about ways FGM /FGC survivors find pleasure. And more OMGyes seasons about techniques with sex toys, pleasure in menopause, trans pleasure, men’s pleasure, desire hacks and fantasies.

The women who appear on OMGyes are straight, bi, and lesbian. It becomes clear, using the site, that each topic and concept is universal and can be put to use whether the person doing the touching uses fingers, a penis, a tongue, or a toy.

Seasons 1 and 2 cover different sets of topics. How do we get those topics? By asking thousands of women what single insights have made their pleasure permanently better. Then we distill those answers to find the biggest game-changers and those make up the Season topics.

Season 1 covers more external (clit and vulva) pleasure and Season 2 covers more internal (penetration, vaginal) pleasure. Another difference is that Season 1 has ‘touchable simulations’ whereas Season 2 has animated graphics showing what’s getting touched inside.

That said, both seasons have topics that aren’t specific to internal or external pleasure--things like ways of giving/receiving feedback, stages, timing, mental components, breathing, building to multiples, flexing muscles, and lots more.

Some people have binged a whole Season of OMGyes in a weekend. But we recommend going through one topic per week, so you can really have time to explore and apply it all. It’s also great as together-time for a couple or for a group of friends - like watching a tv show together and chatting about it after.

We did a lot of testing with users to find the sweet spot of being in-depth but not too long--something fun you look forward to, not a task. It turns out shorter videos are better than long ones. So we try to keep each video to under 4 minutes. Often, diagrams or animations are the best way to get an idea across. The time passes quickly because this is fun stuff. It’s like hanging out with really open friends who are confiding in us the details of how they come...No one looks at their watches when that’s happening, do they?
